The workshop commenced with Dr. Srinivas Rao, Executive Dean, gave an introduction to Lean Six Sigma and how it combines the principles of lean enterprise and lean manufacturing with Six Sigma to improve performance and systematically remove waste.
The workshop was followed by student’s paper presentation by MBA III semester

Mr. Shekar Chowdhury gave an introduction to concepts and guidelines for implementing Six Sigma. Mr. Sundara Rajulu introduced the students to the concept outlined the process stages in Six Sigma (define, measure, analyze, improve, and control), along with the Lean toolkit
Topics Covered:
Six Sigma, DMAIC Methodology, Role of Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt, White Belt or Master Black Belt, Operational Excellence, Lean, Kaizen, 5s principles, Kanban (scheduling), downtime, poka-yoke (error proofing).
Key Learning’s:
Participants learned with knowledge of both the theories and techniques utilized in Six Sigma environments to build and sustain superior performance. Delivered the groundwork for effective process improvement initiatives.
