On behalf of ‘Vivekananda’s 154th birth Anniversary’ Bangalore University had organized celebration meet as ‘National Youth Day’ at Palace ground. We have taken 200 students from all UG classes to attend this event. Our Beloved Principal Prof. Pandurangappa has taken overall responsibility to send our students for this event. Our faculties Mr. Hanumantharaju Mr. Mansur, Mr Rathan, Mr Girish, Mrs Shwetha K R and Mrs Deepambe were taken the initiative. The event started at 11-00 AM by lightning the lamp and continued with our Chief Minister’s Speech. The program concluded by vote of thanks at 2-00 Pm and and they provided lunch at 2-30 PM. Later, our students came back to our campus at 4-00 PM.

We are happy to announce that our Student VINAY K P from final year BBA has won ‘’First prize’’ in ‘’PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION’’ which was conducted by Padmashree Institute of Management Studies at College campus on Sep 26th 2016.

It’s one of the most memorable days for Don Bosco Management Faculties that Our UG students had celebrated ‘TEACHER’S day on 5th Sep at our College campus. Prof Pandurangappa H has been invited as a Chief Guest and all the UG faculties have been participated. Senior Prof Puttamaraiah K P has given a speech about ‘The Role of Teachers in Students Life.’ Contrastingly Students had conducted some events for Faculties, all the faculties are involved and enjoyed well. Sadbhavana divas commemorate the birth anniversary of the erstwhile Prime Minister of India, Shri Rajiv Gandhi. The celebration of Sadbhavana Divas marked the 72nd birth anniversary of Shri Rajiv Gandhi. Invocation song, Lighting of lamp, welcome speech by a faculty member followed with principal speech on the importance of Sadbhavana Divas Oath was taken and students and faculty members. Event concluded by a faculty member by vote of thanks.

Students were divided into 5 groups of 10 in each group and given with the topic to speak on it. As a part of curriculum learning students were enthusiastic to participate in the academic related activities where students were given the guidelines regarding how to crack the interview and a mock group discussion session was held in the campus.

To inspire the students for sports events our college committee had conducted a Sports Day on Feb 26th 2016. The Inaugural Function started at 10 Am and our Principal Had given a motivational speech. To inspire the students for Cultural events our college cultural committee had conducted a cultural Day on Feb 25th 2016. The Inaugural Function started at 10 Am and our Principal Had given a motivational speech. Senior Prof. Puttamaraiah has taken the responsibility for these sports events and Asst Prof Hanumantharaju, Asst Prof Bharathi, Asst Prof Nalina Bai have been coordinated with students regarding events. Most of the students had been participated and performed well. Prizes for winners distributed on ‘College Annual Day’

The Training enabled the students to get trained with regard to communication and learning by applying activity method and to energize the students to actively perform the team work (method of VIBGYOR and BIRDS with Numbers were used). It also included the session of Brain storming to bring in interaction between the students. Faculty members used various creative technique methods for practical learning to the students.

Annual Business Research Conference was conducted by the Department of Commerce. It received 48 abstract papers and finally confirmed 32 full papers for the conference. Event was a grand success with expertise panel members and good speakers for the session. Papers were published in ISBN number and proceedings was released in the conference ISBN NUMBER: 978-93-81361-67-2
Topics Covered: Various stream papers were received like HR, Marketing, Finance and general papers each stream had around 08 paper presenters. Conference covered the areas like how to improvise the quality of research in all the streams and how to relate the happening topics and facts into the research process.
Key Learning’s: Conference gave inputs on how to channelize each part of the research and how to improvise upon the quality part of research in future and stressed more on the importance of collecting primary data.

College had organised the extension activity as a part of its corporate social Responsibilitiy.Students initiated the activity with the support of college and management where notebooks and stationary and bags were distributed to the orphan children which promoted the humanity and kindness.

Ms.Rashmitha, alumnus of Commerce Department, it was privilege to welcome her back to address her juniors. She addressed the students by her speech in area like importance of CA, ICWA and CS and created awareness about the coaching centres and job oppurtunities.Overall it was a very interactive session which inspired the students to pursue the course.

As a part of students celebrations seniors had organized fresher’s party to welcome their fellow juniors where it was a better platform to know each other and to mark a memory of the college days. It included songs, games, Karate and dance performance which brought the joyful laughter and lots of fun.

College had organised the alumni meet as a part of tradition to welcome the passed out batch students for a meet so that they can inspire their juniors to carry their legacy in career aspect and to share their experience and to rejoice their memories of college.

To make this phrase come true women are managing both their personal and professional life hence they have to be respected. To appreciate the women’s contribution to the society our college has organised women’s day celebration. it was a prideful moment where all the professors enjoyed the event and shared their happiness about the event and the importance of the day.

Celebration of food festival at college campus by the UG students which was a grand success with wide varieties of dishes exhibited and marketing also was a part of it where students meanwhile did their business and achieved profit.
