On behalf of ‘Vivekananda’s 154th birth Anniversary’ Bangalore University had organized celebration meet as ‘National Youth Day’ at Palace ground. We have taken 200 students from all UG classes to attend this event. Our Beloved Principal Prof. Pandurangappa has taken overall responsibility to send our students for this event. Our faculties Mr. Hanumantharaju Mr. Mansur, Mr Rathan, Mr Girish, Mrs Shwetha K R and Mrs Deepambe were taken the initiative. The event started at 11-00 AM by lightning the lamp and continued with our Chief Minister’s Speech. The program concluded by vote of thanks at 2-00 Pm and and they provided lunch at 2-30 PM. Later, our students came back to our campus at 4-00 PM.

On 11th Jan 2017, the students of 2nd, 4th and 6th sem BBA students from Don Bosco Institute of Management Studies and Computer Application were taken for an industrial visit to Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL). KSDL was Established in 1916, at Yeshwanthpur, Bangalore, Karnataka. It is a company owned by Government of Karnataka. In the early 20th century, the Mysore Kingdom in India was one of the largest producers of sandalwood in the world. It was also one of the major exporters of the wood, most of which was exported to Europe. They Produce Mysore Sandal Soaps. Personal Care, Perfumes Cosmetics & Detergents.

We are happy to announce that our Student VINAY K P from final year BBA has won ‘’First prize’’ in ‘’PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION’’ which was conducted by Padmashree Institute of Management Studies at College campus on Sep 26th 2016.

It’s one of the most memorable days for Don Bosco Management Faculties that Our UG students had celebrated ‘TEACHER’S day on 5th Sep at our College campus. Prof Pandurangappa H has been invited as a Chief Guest and all the UG faculties have been participated. Senior Prof Puttamaraiah K P has given a speech about ‘The Role of Teachers in Students Life.’ Contrastingly Students had conducted some events for Faculties, all the faculties are involved and enjoyed well. Fresher’s Day was conducted on 11th August 2016 to welcome the 1st year students to the institution. Senior students has organized it for their new comers. Fresher with chink of ice, new faces, smiles all along, resounding laughter- yes it is party time! Students need moments to chill out. The very purpose of Fresher’s Day party was to welcome newcomers in a friendly atmosphere and to encourage their creative impulses to boost their confidence.

Product Launch competition was organized to give practical knowledge on introduction of new products and establishment of companies. It gave insights into establishment and management of business organizations in complex business conditions. New product development was the theme of the contest and five teams have participated in the event. The team Black Window emerged as winners of the event.

Business Quiz is a routine event among the Management Students to sharpens the business know -how. These quizzes also have the benefit of being an outreach and awareness building tool, by educating and informing the students about various organization, while enhancing their knowledge on current affairs, environment concerns, management issues, latest technologies etc. Business Quiz competition was organized for the students of BBA on September 17th . There were 25 teams from BBA department to participate and the winning team was represented by Mr. Rajib Tharu and Mr. Chaithanya Raju of 3rd semester BBA.

Don Bosco Institute of Management Studies and Computer Application has organized forum activity. Various events under forum are being conducted for giving exposure to Extracurricular knowledge to students. Social activities under ISR & CSR are also taken up to improve the social responsibilities & social awareness of students. All the events are conducted under the guidance of Prof. Hanumanth Raju. The Inauguration of Forum activities was done on 4th July 2016. Interviews were conducted & forum body was formed. Mr. Ajay from 5th Semester BBA and Mr. Chaithanya Raju, from 3rd Semester BBA were elected as the President and Vice President respectively for the Forum Council.

On 24th December 2014, the students of 2nd, 4th and 6th sem BBA students from Don Bosco Institute of Management Studies and Computer Application were taken for an industrial visit to Featherlite Furnitures Pvt. Ltd. Featherlite is one of India’s first and finest Furniture manufacturing companies in India. Students were allowed to see the manufacturing process and its assembling units. Plant Manager explained about the manufacturing process as well as its marketing activities.

Department of Management of Don Bosco Institute of Management Studies and Computer Application has organized Essay writing competition. Essay writing competition was organized for giving an exposure to creative writing skill & Extensive writing knowledge to students. Essay writing competition conducted under the guidance of Prof. Hanumanth Raju. The winner of the event was Ms.Nahida Banu of 6th Semester BBA.

Ethnic Day was maintained on 21st August 2014, All the students were asked to come in their traditional attire to celebrate this occasion. A little tilting music and a ramp walk was arranged for the students. There was a friendly atmosphere among all the students and faculty members.
