About the Event:
The Department of Civil Engineering of Don Bosco Institute of Technology celebrated Engineers Day on 26th & 27th September by Conducting two days National Technical Seminar.
The Programme commenced with Dr. R Prakash, Principal & Dr. P Srinivas Rao, Executive Dean, DBIT Bengaluru addressed the Civil Students and faculties on Bharat Rathna Sir M. Visvesvaraya’s Life and Thoughts and hoped it to be a source of Inspiration. Dr. N T Manjunath presented the topic Environmental Engineering & Impact Assessment and was followed by the rest speakers.
Topics Covered:
Environmental Engineering & Impact Assessment, Tall Structures & Rehabilitation, Canal Lining & Erosion Prevention, Intelligent Irrigation Systems, Steel Structures, Revit Structures
Key Learning’s:
Participants learned about the modern methodologies in Environmental Impact Assessment and adopting Intelligent Irrigation Systems for the fields and also learnt about the Structures and its Rehabilitation.

The Programme commenced with Prof. Divya Srinath , HOD Civil Engineering Department, DBIT Bengaluru addressed the Civil Students about the Event followed by Sri Manjunath Reddy delivered lecture on “Applications of software packages- 3D studio max & Revit”

The Department of Civil Engineering of Don Bosco Institute of Technology took Students to RMC plant as a Industrial Visit on 15th May 2015.
This Programme would enhance the knowledge of Students about the field activities and Process of manufacturing of Ready mix concrete.

The Department of Civil Engineering of Don Bosco Institute of Technology taken Students to Sacchidananda Technological Museum as a Industrial Visit on 1st April 2015.
Students had the opportunity to see different kinds of rocks and minerals and also gain ideas about their properties, formation and location where they are available.

The Department of Civil Engineering of Don Bosco Institute of Technology took Students to Rain Water Harvesting Theme Park as a Industrial Visit on 23rd September 2014.
Students had the opportunity to see and learn about the importance of Rain water harvesting and methods to adopt Rain water harvesting in different fields.
