Prof. Pandurangappa H, is an Engineering graduate with Master degree in Computer Applications and Information Technology from Karnatak University, Dharwar, Karnataka, currently working as the HOD, Department of Computer Applications. He has seventeen years of teaching experience and 4 years of industrial experience has been with an objective to contribute expertise knowledge and project development experience for the career development of BCA, MCA, M.Sc. students and technical aspirants. He is a Member of Board of Examinations, Department of Computer Applications, Bangalore University.

Academic and Co-curricular Responsibilities :
Co-coordinating UG programs, responsible and accountable for setting and advancing the academic strategy of the Department in line with Faculty and University strategic plans and direction. Act as a Teachers Representative of Governing Council and active member of the Faculty Executive Board and contribute to the overall leadership and management of the Faculty. He is responsible for ensuring that staff performance is managed appropriately and in a way that is consistent with the expectations of the Sheffield Academic, and that fair workload allocation processes are in place.
To make effective use of all staffing resources and seek opportunities for collaboration and joint working with others beyond the department and beyond the Faculty and ensure students are included as appropriate in the various decision making within the department. And at the same time ensure that all staff has access to the necessary support to enable them to contribute fully and develop their skills and experience.
He is responsible for ensuring all the activities are carried out to the highest possible standards and put in place the necessary evaluation and monitoring procedures to ensure both compliance and improvement: such procedures will include teaching, research and management of all resources. He promotes and represents the University both internally and externally.

He has delivered lectures in a range of subjects like Computer Programming Languages, Data Base Management Systems, Software Engineering, Data Structures, Operating Systems, System Automata, System Programming, Computer Graphics, Data Communications & Networking, Numerical Analysis & Linear Programming, DBMS Tools: MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, Visual Foxpro.

He is the one of the member of IQAC as per the instruction of the Head of the Institute (Chair person of IQAC) is responsible for the development of the quality system for conscious, consistent and catalytic programmed action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the College and to promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through development of the quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

Attended workshops conducted by Microsoft on Microsoft Visual C++ & VB.Net. Participated actively in seminars, workshops conducted by Comptia- Cyber Secure on “Cyber-Security”. He has attended Training programs by Athiya Organisational Competencies and IL&FS Education Technology Services on “Effective Team Management”. Taken active role in the content development of CBSE, ICSE and State Board software development in the Department of Education & Technology, IL&FS, Bangalore and Mumbai Branches.

Research Area :
Recently his synopsis and the area of Research Analysis in ‘Requirement Engineering’ Of Software Engineering has been approved by Alagappa University, Karaikudi, Tamilnadu, and enrolled for the Research work with guidance of Dr. Manjunath Rao, Department Of Computer Applications.

Achievements :
Participated in the event of PARA-SAILING Training Course at JAKKUR Air-field conducted by General Thimmaiah National Academy of Adventure from 27th may 1992 to 2nd June 1992.
