Mrs Umavathi.A is a Associate Prof in the Department of Mathematics of Don Bosco Institute of Technology and has got 16 years of teaching experience. She has done B.Sc from KLE College, Bangalore University , M.Sc from Central College, Bangalore University. She obtained her M. Phil from Vinayaka Missions, Salem.

Academic and Co-curricular Responsibilities :
She is having passion towards her Profession and is engaged in Research activities, Mentoring, Students Progressive Monitoring system and other Department related activities. She worked as Co- ordinator in National level Science event Science-O-Philia during April 2008. She worked as a Co-ordinator of National Workshop on Mathematical Modelling and Applications during October 2011. She worked as Co- ordinator for International Conference on Mathematical Modelling (ICMM-2016). She worked as Co- ordinator for International Conference on Current Trends in Engineering Science and Technology (ICCTEST-2017). She worked as DCS in external examination of VTU, Test co-ordinator, Class-In charge, Member of Ant ragging committee.

She is an Expert in the various areas like Graph Theory, Engineering Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Functional analysis, Operation Research, Differential Equation etc.

Additional Responsibilities as per NAAC or NBA : She is actively involved in all the Departmental activities.
