Civil graduates will have the skills, experience and knowledge to pursue successful careers as environmental engineers. They have demonstrated the ability to: (a) identify information needs; (b) locate information resources, and/or design laboratory or field experiments to attain required information. This laboratory caters to the need of the academic requirements of the subject in conducting various experiments related to both water and wastewater analysis. The department has well equipped laboratory facilities as per University norms with latest instruments such as UV Spectrophotometer, Turbidity meter, Jar test apparatus, Flame Photometer, pH meter, Conductivity meter, Muffle furnace etc This lab is equipped with sophisticated facilities for training students in water quality studies and management. Some of the facilities available include Spectrophotometer and Microbiological investigation facilities. The laboratory is extensively used in several water quality monitoring projects with special emphasis on FLUORIDE problem in drinking water. The department is engaged in conducting Short-term courses for the benefit of Civil engineers and takes up Consultancy work in water and wastewater Analysis.
