Mechanical

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) was started in the year 2002. The Department accredited by NBA in 2008 for three years. The Present Intake for UG is 180 and two post graduate programs with an intake of 18 for Design Engineering and 24 for Product Design & Engineering. The programs are approved by AICTE and affiliated to VTU, Belgaum. The Department has R&D centre (VTURC). The Department has well established Labs, highly experienced Faculty Members and Technical staff. Most of the faculty are with their terminal degrees with relevant research. National seminar, workshop, and many guest lectures are being organized by the Mechanical engineering Department in the recent academic years. The Metal (Mechanical Engineers Team For achieving Laurels) program conducts technical quizzes and different competitions to enrich the student academic and professional competitiveness. The Department also called as "ROYAL MECH" team that conducts co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
