Prof. B. S. Umashankar is a Professor and Head in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. He has 30 years of teaching experience. He obtained his degree from Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bangalore University and post-graduate degree from PDA College of Engineering, Gulbarga University. He has authored text-books and has published several papers in international journals. He has delivered subject expert lectures in Logic Design in VTU EDUSAT Programme-15. He is a life member of Computer Society of India, The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers and Indian Society of Technical Education.
Academic & Co-curricular Responsibilities :
Monitor the regular conduction of classes, syllabus completion and dynamic planning to ensure the same. To review the work done reports of faculty members. Obtain feedback about teaching and take steps to enhance faculty members’ performance. To motivate faculty members for publications, projects and maintain record. To contribute in successful implementation of innovative teaching methodologies for the overall improvement of the department and the institution.
