Shwetha Priyadharshini. S, has completed her post graduation in Chemistry with Organic Chemistry as specialisation. She has completed her Bachelor Degree in education in 2016. Has obtained diploma certificate in Advanced Software Engineering from Aptech, Bangalore. She started her teaching career in KLE Independent P U College, Nagarbhavi in 2008. Since then she has been involved in training the students for Karnataka P U board exams ,as well as Competitive exams, such as AIEEE, IIT-JEE etc.
Academic and Co-curricular Responsibilities :
She is rendering her service as the Co-ordinator of Don Bosco Independent P U College, Mysore Road, Bangalore. She has been actively involved in academic, co-curricular and promotional activity of P U College. She is involved in teaching chemistry and training students to secure good marks in board exams and competitive exams. She is also involved in academic activities such as preparation of Calendar of Events, Timetable, Conduction of Exams, Organizing college events etc. to name a few. She has actively participated in the conduction of DON BOSCO WIKI BRAINS (Quiz competition for school students) in 2015 and DON BOSCO DARING BRAINS (A Science and Art exhibition) in 2016 as promotional activity. These events were conducted for the students to develop the thirst for knowledge, imbibe scientific thinking and make them acquainted with current affairs and technology. She has conducted events like Chemistry Cross-Word and Collage competition to bring about fun in learning Chemistry.
Courses Handled :
Being a post graduate in Chemistry, she handles Chemistry classes and Lab sessions for I P U and II P U students in Don Bosco Independent PU College. She even handles CET classes and trains the students for competitive exams.
Paper Publications & Presentations :
During her studies, she has completed projects such as Isolation of micro-organisms from industrial effluent, certified from Jain Institute of Vocational and Advanced Studies; Differential Display-Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Chain Reaction (molecular biology), certified by Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Synthesis of Anthraquinone derivatives, certified by N.M.K.R.V College for Women, affiliated to Bangalore University. Has attended teachers orientation programme, conducted by Ramakrishna Ashram, Bangalore and Jain Group of Institutions.
Achievements :
• Worked as a Lecturer in Sri Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain college, VVPuram, Bengaluru from 2013-2014 and 2010-11. Working there under the guidance of many subject experts, helped to have exposure to various methods of teaching and working in a team. Worked as a Lecturer in K.L.E Independent PU College, Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru from 2008-10. Being one of the first employees of the college helped in wide exposure of understanding the college work. Was involved in setting laboratory and maintaining records. Apart from teaching curriculum, was involved in taking classes for CET, AIEEE and other competitive exams. Was also involved in mentoring students, thus understanding the mind-set of teenagers. Has handled CET, AIEEE and IIT-JEE classes in CHIPS IIT-JEE. Working in Chanukya Institute of Professional Studies, helped to expertise in teaching, for competitive exams. Had given an educational television programme for DD Chandana named ‘Deevige’. ‘Deevige’ is an educational program for II pre university students, training them for competitive exams. She has handled IIT-JEE classes, for many colleges, such as RNS college, Uttarahalli; VidyaNiketan, Ullala; Navodaya school, Haveri; Soundarya PU college etc., to name a few.
• Educational achievement: Is a distinction holder in post graduation and other exams before. Has scored 100/100 in Mathematics in SSLC. Did Bachelor degree in Education, to get trained in teaching and understand the mindset of the learner and passed the degree with distinction.
