Computer Aided Machine Drawing

For mechanical engineers it is very important to know the basic concepts of Engineering Drawing. It is a graphical language that communicates ideas and information from one mind to another. It communicates all needed information from the engineer who designed a part to the workers who will make it. Machine drawing is the indispensable communicating medium employed in industries, to furnish all the information required for the manufacture and assembly of the components of a machine.

This laboratory has 100 systems which are fully equipped with SOLID EDGE V19 software. The aim of this laboratory is to prepare the students with the fundamentals of engineering drawing, like projections of points, projections of solids, section of solids and development of lateral surfaces & isometric projections. Where as in computer aided machine drawing the students will learn the orthographic projections, sections of solids, keys and joints, different types of threads, couplings and Assemblies of machine parts etc.

At the completion of this laboratory the students will have an ability to communicate effectively by graphical means with various engineering departments like Design, Manufacturing, Process planning, Quality and Assembly.
