ANGURAJA. R M.Tech, (Ph.D) is a prominent professor and distinguished researcher of Electrical & Electronics Engineering having more than 19 years of experience spread across the gamut of High Voltage Engineering. He has received Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bharathidasan University and Master of Technology Degree in High Voltage Engineering from SASTRA University. He is presently pursuing his PhD in High Voltage Engineering.
His exposure to the industry for a span of 6 years in the field of testing and quality control provided him the insight about the on-going trends in the industry and equipped him with the knowledge of the operations of the electrical industries.
He has published about 15 research papers in various national and international journals & conferences. He has guided over 30 projects of Master degree and Bachelor degree students. He also has to his credit two projects appreciated and funded by KSCST .
He has excellent inter and intra communication skills. His strengths are self-motivation and ability to take the initiatives, ability to work well under pressure, able to take on responsibility, Good organisation with attention to details, Teamwork skills, Quick learner, keen to learn and improve skills, Creativity, Adaptability, Tenacity, Negotiation and Leadership skills.
He is an expert in the field of Relays and High Voltage Engineering. His area of interest includes : Transformers, Insulations, Reactive power management etc.

Academic and Co-curricular Responsibilities :
The Primary nature of the job being teaching, I got into the most revered profession by choice and not by chance and hence I enjoy teaching. Various initiatives were designed to help students succeed academically as well as other assigned duties like NBA co-ordinator for the departmental NBA activities, co-ordinator for SPARK-AURA students’ forum, participated as judge for different activities held in college cultural and technical fests.
Has organised national and international conferences, symposiums, seminars and workshops. Other responsibilities involves Class teacher, Seminar Co-ordinator, proctor, Time table Co-ordinator, Lab in charge, and Cultural Committee Chairperson, Magazine Editorial Committee Member, Single Point of Contact for Infosys Campus Connect Programme, Sports Committee Member, Member – VTU squad, Member of Anti-Ragging committee and Disciplinary committee at the institute level.

Research Area :His research interest is focussed on high voltage engineering, loading and operation of transformers in Power system, Protective relays, Reactive Power Management etc.

• Participated in the Brain storming session in the National Seminar on Technology Roadmap of ICT organised by TECHNOLOGY VISION- 2035 on 17th Sept 2016 jointly organised by TECHNOLOGY INFORMATION, FORECASTING & ASSESSMENT COUNCIL (TIFAC) & NATIONAL COUNCIL OF SCIENCE MUSEUMS (NCSM).
